We were hired by 3L Real Estate to develop the 12th floor roof deck of the newly renovated Ebony Jet building, which was converted into 150 apartments. The deck showcases captivating views from Navy Pier to Soldier Field and is accessible to all residents.
The existing space included 3 steel I-beams for structural support and the rest was for us to determine. The size of the space was dictated by city code regulations. The layout allows for grilling and multiple seating areas.
The client handled all furniture and landscaping and the custom concrete fire pit was handmade by CRDG's concrete specialist. This is the second project completed with 3L Real Estate.
