The board of this historic condo building engaged CRDG to transform a smaller, pre-existing roof deck with concrete pavers into a clean and contemporary space for residents to enjoy the gorgeous views of the lake and park.
The client upgraded the decking to porcelain tile for the ease of maintenance and the effortless appearance. New glass railings allow for clear sightlines while providing protection from the bustling Chicago winds.
A minimalist steel and aluminum pergola is the focal point of the space and creates shade for residents looking to escape the direct sunlight. The rooftop offers flexibility whether you're watching the sunrise or catching some fireworks!
