In-law suite construction requires coordinating multiple systems: plumbing for a new kitchen and bath, electrical service adequate for independent living, and HVAC that can be controlled separately. We design for accessibility from the start—wider doorways, grab bars in bathrooms, and step-free entries where feasible. Chicago zoning and building codes have specific requirements for accessory dwelling units that we navigate on your behalf.
