Wet Room Installation

Barrier-free shower spaces

Modern Wet Rooms

A wet room removes the traditional shower enclosure entirely—the entire floor is waterproofed and sloped to a drain, allowing barrier-free entry and a spa-like openness. This European approach suits both modern aesthetics and accessibility needs, eliminating curbs that can be trip hazards. Properly executed, a wet room simplifies cleaning while maximizing usable space in compact bathrooms.

Wet room construction demands flawless waterproofing. The entire floor—not just the shower area—receives a continuous membrane that extends up walls. The floor structure must be modified to create precise slope toward the drain, typically a linear drain along one wall or a central point drain. We build up the subfloor with sloped mortar beds or pre-sloped foam panels, then apply waterproofing before any tile installation begins.

The finished wet room has no seams or transitions where water can penetrate. Large-format floor tiles minimize grout lines, walls get fully tiled or finished with waterproof materials, and the drain handles the entire room's water flow. Showerheads, body sprays, and controls mount directly to the walls—no enclosure to maintain or replace.
